National Eligibility Test is conducted two times every year to select out the candidates for the recruitment of the Lecturers and the Assistant Professors. This exam is additionally performed for the shortlisting of the candidates for (JRF) Junior Research Fellowship. The NET is conducted at national level and the qualified candidates could get the job throughout India. NET qualification is the basic eligibility for the instructor in the universities, and just the post graduates can undergo this exam.
CBSE NET Application Form 2016
Candidates can apply for CBSE UGC NET 2016 via online only. There is no any other mode to apply for this exam. Candidates can apply for this exam via online mode from the official website i.e. www.cbsenet.nic.in. We are telling you the steps to fill the application form online.
- Visit the official website i.e. www.cbsenet.nic.in
- After that, Search for the link of Application Form for UGC NET 2016.
- Select the option of JRF if you want to apply for JRF.
- Click Apply online and online application form will appear on the screen.
- Fill the form completely like personal detail and educational detail etc.
- After that, pay the application fee by bank challan or online mode as per your choice.
- Now, Upload the scanned photo, signature and necessary documents etc. like caste certificate in case of reserved category.
- Click Submit after checking the filled application from.
- Finally, click on save and take the printout of it for future use.

Minimum Qualifying Marks in NET 2016 for different categories:
General Category:
- Paper I: 40% Marks
- The Paper II: 40% Marks
- Paper III: 75% Marks
Reserved Category Candidates:
- Paper I: 35% Marks
- The Paper II: 35% Marks
- Paper III: 60% Marks
UGC NET Eligibility Criteria 2017
Applicants having Postgraduate Degree in any subject are eligible for this test. But, they must secure 55% marks in the necessary qualifications. In the case of, if the candidate belongs to OBC/ SC/ ST/ PH category, then he/ she will get relaxation up to 5% marks. Thus, he/ she have to need 50% marks in the post graduation degree.

Exam Pattern
The exam for CBSE UGC NET is difficult than other competitive exams. We are telling you the exam pattern which will help you in the preparation of exam. UGC will set three papers for National Eligibility test. All three papers will be conducted on the same day but in different sessions. Below is the detail of the papers.
Exam Pattern for Paper I :
The competitors have to attempt 50 questions out of 60 questions. Paper I will carry 100 marks. One hour and 15 minutes duration will be provided to attempt the examination.
Exam pattern for Paper II :
50 questions will be asked and all questions are compulsory. The duration of exam will be 1 hour and 15 minutes. Total marks will be 100 for this exam.
Exam pattern for Paper III :
75 questions will be asked and all questions are compulsory. The duration of exam will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. Each question will carry two marks and total marks for this exam will b e 150.

Selection Procedure
After the declaration of result, merit list will be issued based on the minimum qualifying marks. Subject-wise and Category-wise merit list will be issued by the board. A separate merit list will be prepared for the award of JRF i.e. Junior Research Fellowship.
