SSC CGL Syllabus For Tier 1 CBT Exam 2016:
Every year, the Staff Selection Commission conducts CGL Exam at two levels i.e. Tier 1 and Tier 2. This year also, applications were invited for CGL Tier 1 Exam 2016 by issuing a notification on 13th February 2016.
After that, many candidates applied for this exam this year. The SSC has also declared the date for commencement of CGL Tier 1 Exam 2016. The exam will be conducted on 27th August 2016. SSC CGL Tier 1 New Exam Pattern 2016:

Tier 1 and 2 will be of Computer Based Test and Tier 3 will be descriptive in nature. In Tier 4, Data Entry Test or Computer proficiency test will be conducted as per the post for which you have applied. For detailed information of all Tiers, read the paragraphs given below :
SSC CGL Syllabus & Exam Pattern For CGL Tier 1
As per new exam pattern, Objective type multi-choice questions will be asked and total 10o questions will be asked for 200 marks. Questions will be asked from four topics and 25 questions will be asked from each topic. Here will update SSC CGL Tier 1 Result also.
Each question will carry two marks. Total 75 minutes will be provided to attempt the exam. The exam will be conducted on Computer Based Mode. There will be 1/4th negative marking for each wrong answer. Questions will be asked from following topics :
- General Intelligence and Reasoning
- General Awareness
- Quantitative Aptitude
- English Comprehension
SSC CGL Syllabus & Exam Scheme For Tier 2
Exam pattern for Tier 2 will remain same and Tier 2 will also be conducted on Computer Based Mode. In Tier 2, only two subjects will be there. 100 questions will be asked from each subject i.e. Mathematics and English. There will be 1/4th negative marking applicable in the case of the wrong answer.
SSC CGL Syllabus & Exam Pattern For Tier 3
In addition to the two levels, a new exam is also added, which is Tier 3. This exam will be conducted in Pen Paper based mode. This exam will be descriptive in nature. Questions will be asked in two languages i.e. either in English or Hindi as per the choice of the applicant.
This exam will carry 100 marks and the duration of exam will be 60 minutes. In the descriptive test, candidates will be asked to write Essay, Letters, Precis and Application Writing etc.
